August 8 (Saturday) Vintage Swap Meet – Simi Valley
Location: Moose Lodge at 4860 Alamo St., Simi Valley, CA 93063. Event Hours: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Free to Buyers and Spectators. Seller spots are $25 / Ride-In “Bike For Sale Corral,” $15. Set-up 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. Advance Registration Required: Call Jack Faria at Jack’s Vintage Cycles 805-551-4982 – Cash or Check only. Seller spaces are a 2-car spot (20’ x 20’). August 16 (Sunday) * BSAOCSC “MALIBU MOUNTAIN” STREET RIDE
Start at Freedom Park parking lot, just off of Pleasant Valley Rd. on the very west end of the Camarillo Airport property. Be ready to ride at 10:00 a.m. with a full tank of gas. The ride is approximately 75 to 80 miles. Freedom Park is south from Hwy 101 on Las Posas Road in Camarillo, then right on Pleasant Valley Road, then straight through two signal intersections, then pass the airport to the west end of the property, then right turn. August 22 (Saturday) Norton Club Ride – Night Ride to Chilao School
Join us as we brave the darkness of Hwy 2 and risk our lives…all for some free food! Crazy you say? Meet at the Shell station located at Hwy 2 & 210 Fwy for an exciting twilight ride up the hill where we will have a dinner spread waiting for us at the Chilao School (just past the Maintenance Station, 2 miles south of Newcomb’s Ranch) provided by the wonderful and extremely gracious host, Carina Roberts.
